Tevita met his future wife, Tanya, while working in San Diego. He had never heard of Oregon in Tonga, but it brought back memories of his own country when they were there.

He began a continuous, 30-year career when Hewlett-Packard hired him as a material handler, and he and Tanya started to establish a solid foundation together.

In Corvallis, they purchased a farm and had two boys, T.J. and Talanoa. A trip to Tonga to give their kids a better understanding of their father’s heritage and, consequently, their own was always at the top of their list of priorities as they set goals for their families.

The way he is now is due to how he was nurtured, Talanoa’s father said, adding that they made it happen. His boys are a part of that culture even though they were born and reared in Oregon.

Tevita And Tanya Raised Their Two Sons In Oregon

The Hufanga brothers were raised in Oregon but were born in different cities. While Tevita Jason, also known as T.J., was born in Albany, Talanoa’s birthplace is listed as Corvallis.

The brothers are six years apart in age, with T.J. being born on December 12, 1994, and Talanoa on February 2, 2000.

His Mother Has Heavily Shaped Talanoa’s Faith

Hufanga was brought up in the church, which was the primary focus of his family’s existence when he was a little child.
