He was a founding member of the pop groups The Twilights, Axiom, and Little River Band, as well as a solo artist, and he has performed all over the world. Little River Band had national and international chart success with songs such as “Emma,” “Help Is on Its Way,” and “Cool Change,” which were written by Shorrock. When the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) celebrated its 75th anniversary in May 2001, it selected “Cool Change” as one of the Top 30 Australian songs of all time, as part of its 75th anniversary festivities.
